Enforce price list input selection across your company

Enforce price list input selection across your company

At Agworld, we’re continuing to build tools that give agribusinesses greater control, consistency, and confidence in their data. Today we’re pleased to introduce a new company-level setting that allows you to enforce price list usage when selecting inputs, helping standardize workflows and reduce errors across your operation.

This new setting is now available for enterprise customers that enables admins to control how inputs are selected during activity creation. With this update, you can choose to either guide users toward your price list or fully restrict selection to approved items only.

Two Levels of Control

With the release of this new company-level setting, you now have two different levels of control available for your price list. This setting impacts input selection across key workflows including activity creation (on both web and mobile), and when adding information to products, seed and operations.

1. Default to price list items
  • Input selection defaults to items on your company price list
  • Users can still switch to view all available inputs if needed
  • Their selection preference is remembered
2. Enforce price list items only
  • Input selection is locked to price list items only
  • Users cannot switch to view all inputs
  • A message is displayed: “Your company settings allow the selection of price list items only”
  • Applies across the entire company
  • Available to enterprise admins
How It Works in Practice

When enforcement is OFF

  • Users can toggle between price list items only and all inputs, depending on their needs.

When enforcement is ON

  • Only price list items are visible
  • The toggle is locked
  • Users are restricted to approved inputs only

Changes take effect on the next login (web) or next sync (mobile).

Why Use This Feature?

Enforcing price list usage can help your business:

  • Prevent selection of unsupported or incorrect products
  • Improve reporting consistency across teams
  • Reduce ordering and invoicing errors
  • Simplify ERP and system integrations
Important Considerations

This is a company-wide setting and should be used thoughtfully:

  • If your price list is incomplete, users will be unable to select missing items
  • The restriction applies to all users once enabled
  • Only enterprise admins can manage this setting

We recommend starting with the default setting to guide users toward your price list. Once your price list is well maintained and your team is familiar with the workflow, you can enable full enforcement for tighter control.

This update gives you more control over how inputs are selected and used, helping ensure cleaner, more reliable data across your organisation. If you have any questions about how you can use this update to your advantage, please don’t hesitate to contact your Agworld Customer Success representative!
