At Agworld, we're always pleased to share updates from our partners that help streamline on-farm record keeping and compliance. FarmReady has recently introduced a new enhancement to Shed that makes it easier to capture and store documentation associated with inventory receipts.
This update allows you and your team to take a photo of supporting documents such as an invoice or delivery docket when crop inputs are getting delivered, and Shed will automatically fill in the details for you. This new feature makes it very easy to receipt new products into your Shed and helps ensure important records such as delivery dockets and invoices are stored alongside the related products.
Attach documents to receipts in Shed
When crop inputs such as chemicals or fertilizers are delivered to your farm, you'll usually receive documentation like an invoice or delivery note with the shipment. Until now, most growers store these documents in a filing cabinet, digital folder or the footwell of their ute. With this latest update to Shed, you can simply take a photo of this document and Shed will automatically fill in the details for you. Shed will also attach all relevant documents directly to the receipt record, creating a single, centralized source of truth for inventory deliveries.
What this means in practice:
- Attach photos or PDF files when recording a new receipt
- No more time spent on manually recording inventory receipts
- Store delivery dockets, invoices, or supplier documentation alongside the inventory record
- Keep important records easily accessible for future reference or audits
This simple addition helps ensure that supporting documentation is never separated from the inventory record it belongs to.
A simpler way to capture delivery records
Capturing documents is designed to be quick and straightforward for farm teams. When creating a new receipt in Shed, all you have to do is click on 'Import Receipt' and upload a photo or PDF of your delivery docket or invoice. Shed will read the document and extract:
- Supplier name and received date
- Order or invoice reference
- Product line items, quantities and costs
Where products match what's already in your Shed account, they'll be added to the receipt automatically. Any unmatched products are flagged for you to review before anything is saved to your inventory. You will also see an 'Attachments' section within the receipt form. From there, it's as simple as clicking 'Add' to upload a photo or document.
Field staff or delivery drivers can also scan in receipt using the Storage QR Code, with no system access required. All receipts added via the QR code will be flagged as "Under Review" ready for your team to confirm.
Also new: Product Aliases
FarmReady has also introduced Product Aliases in Shed, making it easier for farm teams to manage and identify products that may be known by different names across suppliers, labels, or internal systems. With this update, users can assign alternative names to a single product (Glyphosate 450 for example), ensuring greater consistency and reducing confusion when recording inventory, receipts, or usage.
This is particularly useful when the same chemical or input is referred to differently on invoices, by staff, or across regions. By supporting multiple aliases for a product, Shed helps improve accuracy in record keeping, streamline data entry, and ensure teams are always working with the correct product information across their operations.
Helping farms stay organized
This update is another example of how FarmReady continues to improve the tools that support modern farm operations. By simplifying documentation capture and linking it directly to inventory records, Shed helps your farm businesses stay organized while maintaining strong record-keeping practices. As a FarmReady partner, Agworld is pleased to see ongoing improvements that make it easier for growers and farm teams to manage their operations efficiently.
