To support significant global growth, Agworld has recently made three key appointments. Mike Betts has been appointed Vice President of Business Development, LeeAnn Murphy has been appointed Vice President of Operations and Reinder Prins has been appointed Marketing Manager.
Mike Betts
Mike Betts, hailing from the state of Kansas, has joined Agworld in the capacity of Vice President of Business Development. Mike graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and started his career at Credit Suisse as an investment banker working with software and internet companies. Mike gained a wealth of experience in a number of different positions from M&A and capital raising to managing the analytics team at wine.com and building technology partnerships at mobile software company Apteligent. As an entrepreneur, Mike is a self-taught software developer, and started two companies. Prior to joining Agworld, Mike was the Director of Investments at AgFunder, an online investment platform and media company for agriculture technology.
Mike has a connection to Agriculture through his family, where his grandparents own a cropping operation in Northwest Kansas, and through his previous roles at AgFunder and consulting in agtech product research. Mike: “I am excited to be part of the fast-growing Agworld team and business. I truly believe in the value and strategy behind the collaborative software platform that Agworld brings, allowing growers, advisors and other stakeholders to work together with data and information all in one place, as opposed to selling yet another single player, stand-alone piece of software.” Expanding on prior experience, Mike is looking forward to the never-ending learning ahead: “I am focussing on understanding the growers’ needs and how Agworld software can be utilized to record and generate insights and information that help manage their operations more efficiently, profitably and sustainably.”
Got what it takes to join the Agworld team? We’re looking for talented individuals to help us deliver innovative solutions in agriculture.
